Die Leute im Hintergrund

When the City Becomes a Stage

Waldenburg comes to life in a very special way. On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the “Tonspur” will wind its way through our beautiful city. On this day, a variety of hands-on activities will bring together people, places, ideas, pottery, and sounds. Starting at 2 p.m., residents, clubs, schools, businesses, and community groups are invited to organize their own small events or gathering spots—spread throughout the entire city.

The idea behind “Tonspur” is simple: Our city is brimming with creativity, talent, and stories. It is precisely this diversity that we want to make visible and bring to life. Whether it’s music, ceramics, art, crafts, hands-on activities, readings, workshops, exhibitions, or something entirely unique—so much is possible—and yet everything flows seamlessly together.

It’s not about big stages or perfect performances, but about connection, openness, and shared experiences. Anyone can become part of “Tonspur” for a moment.

A musical finale is also planned: In the evening, there will be a joint closing concert on the grounds of the European Gymnasium.

The project is currently still in the planning phase—which is exactly why we’re looking for organizers and participants who’d like to contribute their ideas or propose a small activity of their own.

Anyone interested in becoming part of “Tonspur” is welcome to contact the organizing committee:
